Khumbu-Goyko Valley Trek
Everest Base Camp, Nepal

The Classic Everest Base Camp Trek is a must do for all climbers and hikers. This 24 day trek not only visits Everest Base Camp but also starts out with a side trip up the Goyko Valley. This is where Cho-Oyu is located. (the sixth highest mountain in the world)

After great photography from Goyko Ri (19,000') we'll cross the Cho-La pass (19,000) and descend into the Khumbu Valley. This will lead us up to Everest Base Camp. An ascent of Kala Patar (18,800') will give the trekker the clasIME owner and veteran of 17 trips to Nepal - Rick Wilcox. sic view of Everest up close and personal. We will also visit the actual Everest Base Camp on the south side, at the foot of the Khumbu Ice Fall. Other highlights include two days on the way in and two days on the way out in Namche Bazar. We will stay at the IME-Jamling Hotel and visit the International Mountain Equipment store in Namche.
