The proper clothing is vital if you are to enjoy the program. Please take the quote "Cotton Kills" seriously. Cotton is NOT suitable for use in the mountains in winter. Please check the gear list we have provided to make sure you are prepared.

Ice climbing and mountaineering are activities that involve risk. Here at IMCS we recognize that people want to learn how to identify and manage the risks associated with climbing during the winter and spring seasons. We stress safety awareness and promote personal responsibility. Our programs aim to provide you with the knowledge to move efficiently over varied terrain, evaluate future partners and select appropriate climbs.
